Importing itineraries

Kestreli can build a trip from a booking confirmation, so you don't have to type one in.

Forward a confirmation email

The Inbox tab shows your personal address — something like [email protected]. Forward a flight, hotel, rail or cruise confirmation to it. Within about a minute the trip appears, and you get a notification when it's ready.

The address is a private token rather than a mailbox tied to your identity, so you can forward from any email account. If you'd rather not use it any more, tap Rotate address to retire it and get a new one.

Paste a confirmation instead

Copy the text of a confirmation, paste it into the box on the Inbox tab, and tap Preview Trip. Kestreli shows you what it read so you can check it before anything is created — confirm to keep it, or discard it.

Matching an existing trip

If a confirmation belongs to a trip you already have — the same destination, overlapping dates — Kestreli adds it to that trip instead of creating a second one.

What happens to your email

The email or pasted text itself is never stored. Kestreli keeps only its size and the travel details it extracted. To read the details out of the text, that text is sent to Google's Gemini API. Everything else about your trip stays on Kestreli's own servers or your device.

When something doesn't parse

Not every confirmation is readable — unusual formats and heavily image-based emails are the usual culprits. A failed import shows in your Inbox with an explanation, and you can try again with the text pasted directly, or add the trip by hand.
