Radar and notifications

Radar watches a trip and surfaces what might disrupt it, so you find out before you're standing in an airport.

What it watches

• Travel advisories for the destination country, from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and the US Department of State.
• Large local events around your dates that could affect crowds, prices and transport.
• Weather for your destination, from Apple Weather.
• Passport validity against your return date, if you keep a passport in the Documents Wallet.

Notifications

The first time you open Radar, Kestreli explains what it would send before asking iOS for permission. If you say no, Radar still works — you just check it in the app instead of being told. You can change your mind later in iOS Settings.

What "all clear" actually means

It means nothing was found for this trip. It does not mean the destination has been confirmed as clear: advisory coverage is a curated set of sources, and some destinations aren't in it. Absence of a warning is not assurance.

An important limit

Radar is best-effort information, not immigration or travel advice. Entry rules, visas and passport requirements are set by governments and change without notice. Always confirm with the official source for your destination and your nationality before you travel.
